Let's say you want to squeeze more performance out of your notebook without shelling out extra cash for things like memory or storage. (two areas where most consumer laptops are lacking). The Lenovo Thinkpad E585 is a notebook with a battery life of up to 7 hours. That makes it perfect for travelers who won't have access to electricity for the duration of their journey.
Some laptops advertise longer battery lives than this, but in our experience these claims are either exaggerated or flat-out false. These longer claims are misleading at best and openly false at worst, since the stated battery life only applies when the laptop is plugged in. (or more).

Conclusion
It's a cheap laptop for companies that need a dependable notebook but don't want to spend a fortune. It is perfect for professional use due to its quick processing speed and lengthy battery life. Ports and connections are plentiful, too, with Ethernet and USB Type-C among them.
Despite being only 0.85 inches thick, the Thinkpad E585 is not as compact as other ultraportables on our list, such as the HP Spectre x360 15 or the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1s, which weigh 1 pound and 0.9 pounds, respectively.
It has a powerful Intel Core i7 8th generation processor and 16GB of RAM (upgradable to 32GB), but it doesn't leave much room for future upgrades compared to other laptops in this price range, such as the ASUS ZenBook UX330UA or the Lenovo Yoga 720, which offer superior performance to many others in their respective categories but don't have room for additional storage.
