Blizzard Entertainment has shared the first images of the WoTLK Gold revamped Human male model will be featured in the MMO World of Warcraft when the Warlords of Draenor expansion hits this fall. The current Human male model has come under many critiques due to his "odd sizes and face shape" however it's now rectified, Blizzard said in a announcement to its site.

"We've taken great care to ensure we'ren't changing the character to look like nothing you'd expect as well as fixing some of the most obvious problems," World of Warcraft art director Chris Robinson writes. "We we hope that you will be delighted with the results!"

The overall aim of Blizzard's design overhauls for characters is to preserve the design of the original and at the same, improving fidelity and fixing problems with the past designs. Personally, I'm of the opinion that the new Human male model resembles Shrek's human appearance in the movie Shrek 2. It's fine, I suppose.

The eight races of World of Warcraft 's original playable races, in addition to the Draenei as well as the Blood Elves, will get models overhauls for their characters in the forthcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion. However, it's not certain which races will be offered in the coming expansion, which will be released later this year. The fact that these new models feature more polygons as well as animation effects might indicate that you'll require a higher-end PC to run World of Warcraft in the future however Blizzard isn't quite sure for now.

Blizzard has released renders of the revamped variants of Orcs, Taurens WOW WoTLK Classic Gold, Draenei, as well as Night Elves, as well as the Human female. Robinson mentions that Blizzard is expecting the models currently in development to start appearing in the Warlords of Draenor alpha test "soon."
