The month of July was when Blizzard shared the first details about Pelagos and his story. Pelagos is portrayed as a woman in his mortal life but is now a man after death in Shadowlands. Fans reacted at the time the game made him known using the pronouns "they/them" and was changed to he/him in the alpha.

"The team originally had written him to use the pronouns they/them, but received feedback from the team that he/she could be more respectful of the character's desires for being identified with the word male. The change was a result of our listening and responding to that feedback," Blizzard said at the time.

With Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard is working to make WoW much more accessible for the new player while making sure that the story is brought back into World of Warcraft 's roots. You'll witness and be a participant in a renewed conflict between the Horde and Alliance and both sides have to unite their navy. Further, Blizzard is introducing numerous new mechanics and modes such as cheap WoTLK Gold Warfronts, which are cooperative games for 20 players that aim to recreate missions from wargames like RTS World of Warcraft games.
