The unforgettable Nike Air Max 1 Mandarin Duck Grey came back strong in 2020 and 2021, reintroducing the famous Japan-exclusive Dunks to a much wider market. Following these colorful suede concoctions, Nike has rounded up a few more colorways in low and high fashion, with this latest Dunk touching on some of the famous original entries. This next iteration is constructed with the same combination of soft and shaggy suedes, with plum red paired with olive green at the toe, mid panel, and ankle. The Swoosh logo appears in a faded mauve tone, matching the laces. The midsole adds a touch of speckle for a bit of ACG style.Nike's ongoing pursuit of crazy Dunk concepts doesn't require deep exploration of ideas. Sometimes it's as simple as looking at common objects in the room. This upcoming Nike Dunk release focuses on muted tones, opting for this distressed cream, faded light mint and orange brown on the furry rug-like material on the Swoosh logo and heel tab. It has a bit of a Cactus Plant Flea Market vibe thanks to its shaggy look, an aesthetic made worse by the crinkled suede at the toe and center panel. The soft mesh on the tongue further enhances this thrifty look, but it's really the shabby color scheme that completes the profile.
