If you don't have consistent players on your fantasy football team, then what do you really have? As important as consistency is, most fantasy owners don't factor it into their preseason rankings or in their lists of potential sleepers and breakouts. That's especially true at running back, which once again reigns as fantasy's most important position. RBs have to be a steady source of double-digit points (preferably in the upper teens) for your fantasy team to contend for a championship.Sure, it's great to have an RB spring for 25-30 points one week, but if they go for eight the following game, then you might be 1-1. Someone with a back who scores 17 each week probably stands a better chance of being 2-0. Currently only Jonathan Taylor, Najee Harris, and Austin Ekeler are ranked at that level. The remaining running backs are all ranked as RB1B. This means I expect them to exceed 70 percent or higher. Obviously, the higher-ranked RBs like Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, and Dalvin Cook are expected to earn much higher than 70 percent but probably wont exceed 80 percent. The lower-ranked running backs certainly could exceed the 70 percent Clutch Rating, but the lower ranking means le s probability.The RB2A backs are currently David Montgomery, Ezekiel Elliott, Saquon Barkley, and Aaron Jones. All of these players have question marks (injuries, playing time. etc.), but all of them have the proven talent that gives me confidence they can reach 70 percent this season. Lets look at a couple of these running backs and see which of them are undervalued or overvalued based on their current ADPs.2022 AUCTION VALUES (Standard & PPR): | | | | | | Undervalued: Damien Harris, PatriotsI realize that the Patriots are notorious for me sing with fantasy Omari Spellman Jersey running backs, but they stuck with Harris all season when he was healthy. Rhamondre Stevenson is a solid backup, but Harris is the main early-down back and had an impre sive 2021 season. He ended the year ranked 14th in both total points and consistency. His ADP currently is RB27 in Round 6. This is some excellent value.Overvalued: Joe Mixon, BengalsMixon had a great season last year when you look at his overall points, ranking fourth. The problem is that his consistency rating was only 63 percent, which ranked him 18th. As long as you draft him as your RB2, youll get fair value, but dont reach for him to produce at first-round value. Hes never been over 65-percent consistency.2022 FANTASY SLEEPERS: | | | | | Trying to find consistent RBs should be an part of your fantasy draft strategy every year.
