Like most people I began playing RuneScape Gold because most of my friends played it. Its being an online game was an important factor in this. Its very low entry barrier combined with RuneScape's deep branching depth and complex nature kept me playing the game for a long time which is exactly what I was hoping to replicate with Melvor Idle."
With Malcolm himself open about the inspiration the word quickly spread to Jagex that fan-made game that was based off its own MMO. A member of staff flagged the issue to management, and the director of management of products Chris Pfeiffer telling us his team was impressed with.
"The strategy for Melvor Idle is in line with our fundamental beliefs about what makes the game a living one -- that's why it's a natural match our company," said the executive. "Furthermore the concept of giving someone from our local community the opportunity has really enthused everyone at the office."
Pfieffer and his coworkers He and his team members tried Melvor Idle for themselves and loved it enough to reach to Malcolm and discussed the potential of working in partnership in the beginning of 2021.
"From just our initial conversations we learned that Brendan has a similar vision to Jagex's of community-driven games and has done an excellent job in creating a vibrant and vibrant fan base that revolves around Melvor Idle. It's rare to come across such a natural fit when looking publishers, however Brendan and Melvor Idle are exactly that, so we took the chance to support both him and the game wholeheartedly.
He says: "We like to say that the case is that if RuneScape was the MMO that you can play while watching TV, Melvor is the idle game that is enjoyable in the midst of playing RuneScape. Melvor Idle takes RuneScape's core gameplay mechanics, and breaks them into bite-sized episodes that can be enjoyed when time is tight, so RuneScape players will feel at the right place playing Melvor.Few games have experienced the longevity of RuneScape. Despite the latest release, RuneScape 3, having gorgeous graphics and graphics typical of modern MMO many players have remained loyal to the original version from 2000, Old School RuneScape. This is why Jagex has maintained the servers and continues to release updates and events, despite being (at least of the surface) significantly more primitive than the other MMO in the series.
The day is today, Jagex continues with its long-term plans for Old School RuneScape. After 11 years of its release the God Wars Dungeon storyline is close to a conclusion, with its final boss added in an expansion this week.
The God Wars Dungeon isn't going anyplace however, it's headed towards its conclusion with the appearance of the final boss: Nex the General. The last enemy of a storyline more than one decade in the making and bringing her down will not be an easy feat in any way. Team players can run up to OSRS Gold Buy 80 in a single session, so you definitely won't want to go in alone.
